Malta, a small group of islands making up a sun soaked country in the southern Mediterranean Sea, but thinking of size betrays the scale in amount of hidden gems and wonders here. It is a huge place for sun, turquoise seas, history and historic architecture.
I have had the pleasure of staying here, at Azure Golden Sands Resort and Spa, a couple of times over the last year or so and in fact has been a perfect place to base myself for all the places in the articles I have shown from my times in Malta.
Away from towns and cities on the island yet within easy reach of them, perched on the cliffs overlooking the sea and of course the gorgeous Golden Bay Beach! A beach that is amazing at sunset.
You can have the pleasure of enjoying a resort apartment, rather than a hotel room at the Golden Sands resort. These apartments are larger and more luxurious than normal hotel rooms and they come fully equipped with all the comforts associated with a hotel of its class.
The room was like a full on apartment. The bed was comfortable… very comfortable. Those minutes of relaxing, lying on bed, readying for a new day of adventure, watching the sea roll in out of the window..
Just a few of the facilities on offer are:
9 on-site bars & restaurants. A whole range of food tastes to enjoy. From snacks at the bar with a drink, pub type meals or special and exquisite food with finer dining from the restaurants.
Myoka Spa & beauty centre. I had the pleasure of a lovely massage here.
Private Beach that is separate to the main Golden sands beach.
2 outdoor pools and heated indoor pool.
Fitness centre & Master Personal Trainer
Hair Salon
Delicatessen
Water sports and Dive centre located at beach level.
Wi-Fi throughout public areas
Dining options at the hotel include the famous breakfast buffet and extravagant Sunday lunches at Flavours restaurant, Mediterranean cuisine including seafood, meat specialities and pizza dishes at the popular Agliolio Restaurant. Gourmet dining at Essence and so much more.
Of course after a day of adventure, discovering some of the history and culture on the island you can sit on the balcony and watch the sea and sun with a drink.
Of course I have experienced all this and loved it enough to want to go back soon and shall do again and again. Malta is full of so much to see. do, experience in a wide variety of genres and tastes.
Enjoy every minute of your time there if going… Happy holidays.
