Meet Your Guide: Paul Steele
I founded BaldHiker over 17 years ago with a simple mission: to share the raw, authentic beauty of the world’s trails without the commercial gloss.
As a professional hiking guide and travel writer, my life is dedicated to designing outdoor experiences that are seamless, safe, and deeply rewarding.
When I am not leading a group through a historic valley or planning an international itinerary, you will find me out on the trails with my two constant hiking companions: Malc the Border Collie and Pete the German Wirehaired Pointer. (They are the real stars of the show).
For me, the trails aren’t just a playground—they are a sanctuary.
Every retreat, walk, and trail guide we publish is built around the concept of “Green Exercise”—using the natural rhythm of the landscape to clear a busy mind and reset.
