Anyone who enjoyed roasting marshmallows over a campfire in their youth to make a s’more will reminisce in this gooey concoction which has been adapted to make a dessert. A blast of sweetness on a crunchy bite with a sticky topping, will leave you wanting more.
The trouble with this simple dish is the temptation to eat it as you go along (which I absolutely did not do…)
Makes a large dish to feed 12 people or so
2 large packets of Digestive Biscuits (or Graham Crackers)
1 jar of Nutella (or Nut-free equivalent, if needed)
2 large bars of baking chocolate (I use milk chocolate)
4 large bags of marshmallows of any type (I think pink and white look the prettiest😊)
Prep time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 15 mins
Spread a layer of Nutella over the biscuits and line them in a deep dish
Spread another layer of the same over the top to fill in the gaps
Place a layer of plain biscuits over the top of these and rest the chocolate bars on top
Add another layer of the chocolate spread biscuits over the top of the chocolate bars and cover completely with marshmallows
Bake in the oven (170°) until the marshmallows have melted and gone slightly brown
Eat immediately and enjoy!
