What to Expect on the Day

The Route:

Starting from the village of Glenridding, by the shores of Ullswater, we shall ascend the mighty Helvellyn via the quieter valley of Grisedale.

We will then make our way across to Striding Edge where we will have another briefing before making our way across this spectacular ridge.

After the edge we have a scramble up the rocky path to the summit of the 3rd highest mountain in England.

The fun doesn’t stop there. We start the descent via Swirral Edge, taking our time again. Before the wide and easy path back down a different valley to Glenridding.

A full day of guiding by an experienced mountain guide. From beginning to end your safety, happiness and sense of fulfilment is paramount to us.

What Our Hikers Say

  • I would definitely recommend the BaldHiker

I have enjoyed a number of hikes with the BaldHiker and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. Paul engages with participants throughout, and I have come away from each hike, not only with a sense of achievement but having made new friends.
