No no, we didn’t paddle to Malta, for all you ‘feeling hilarious’ people will reply from the title 🙂 This was a short last minute trip using only Kayak.co.uk and the KAYAK app. I was kindly invited to try it on a budget and see how easily it was to get all I needed for a great experience away on a whim!
So. Easily done. Onto the site and away I went. Flights, accommodation and hire car required. Kayak works by scouring hundreds of sites for you and bringing them all to one place. Choose the one you want and you go to the site of the seller so no third party quagmire to go through. Sorted.
Those of you that have followed me around over the last few years know that I have a favourite accommodation on the island… The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands. A wonderful resort I have stayed at a few times and written about. A wonderful beach and ever wonderful sunsets as the one at the top of this post.
Next, the hire car! Malta is not massive with a great and inexpensive public transport system, but with only 72 hours and so much to see and do I used kayak to search for a hire car. It was just as simple as the flight. Search my terms and many options immediately appeared. And surprisingly cheap!
There is never a need to doubt. One, as all bookings are made through the sellers site plus I can say that all ran smoothly for us from take off to landing back home. With the use of the Kayak mobile app your itinerary is shown in detail so even less to worry about.
Once the admin was taken care of all we had to do was enjoy the experience, and enjoy it we did! A wander around Valletta. A wonderful luxury yacht experience I will be showing soon and of course some tip-top food. Whenever in Malta, as I have said before, you must head to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk for some freshly caught lunch by the sea. A remarkable little place.
And how could I forget?! A cake at Fontanella’s in the old city of Mdina.
A lovely few days away, all made somewhat easy as all done through the Kayak site and app. Unforgettable sights, moments and flavours. See you again soon Malta!
You can catch my interview I gave to KAYAK here on their site.
