We’ll share the stories of the ancient rocks beneath your feet and the history that has shaped this beautiful countryside, creating a fantastic day out with a friendly, social group, paced so that everyone can enjoy the journey together.

What to Expect on the Day
The Route:
Starting from the wonderfully named Billa Barra near Coalville we make our way across country to Newtown Linford where we shall have our first cafe stop.
We will have already been on the summit of Hill Hole above Markfield.
After a cuppa we walk up through Bradgate Park to the top at Old John Tower. The first of the 3 Peaks.
Then we make our way via woodland and the village of Woodhouse Eaves to the next summit. Beacon Hill, with views for miles towards Lincolnshire and Derbyshire.
More cross country now until our next cafe stop, or some lovely cake too.
Then we wander through ancient woodland before climbing to the highest point in Leicestershire. The top of Bardon Hill.
From here we descent and out back to Billa Barra and well deserved cheer.
At the end you will be able to say you did all these 5 summits in one great day.

What’s Included:
A full day of guiding by an experienced mountain guide. From beginning to end your safety, happiness and sense of fulfilment is paramount to us.
You will gain insights from us into the land and views around us.
What to Bring:
Prior to the day we will email with all the details and weather forecasts. Here is a list of what to bring as a minimum.
- Walking boots – With good grip and ankle support.
- Layers – Base layer, mid layer (fleece) and waterproof jacket. Walking trousers.
- Spare Layers – Please bring extra spare layers for warmth and comfort. For instance when stationary.
- Hat and gloves – It may be warmer when we start, but can get cold of course.
- Rucksack – For spare layers, food and water.
- Water – A minimum of 2 litres.
- Food – Bring a good hiking lunch and snacks that you prefer.
