How hard is the Yorkshire 3 Peaks?

Late spring (April-May) and early autumn (September) are often considered the best times, offering a balance of long daylight hours and fewer crowds than peak summer. Summer is popular for its weather, while winter is for experienced mountaineers only.

There are public toilets at the National Park car park in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. On the route itself, facilities are limited to pubs and cafes (such as the Station Inn and Old Hill Inn), which are for patrons' use.

It is strongly recommended not to. The terrain is rough, rocky, and often wet and slippery. Sturdy walking boots with good ankle support are considered essential for preventing injury and providing comfort over the long distance.
