An unforgettable journey into the wild heart of Uganda to meet the mountain gorillas.

A few years ago I went on an experience of a lifetime. Meeting mountain gorillas in their own habitat. Now I would love you to join me as I return.

There are some places on earth that completely change your perspective, where the sheer scale and beauty of nature leave you speechless.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of those places. This is the destination for our five-day epic adventure into the heart of Uganda.

This isn’t just a fleeting safari; it is an immersive journey into one of the most biologically diverse rainforests on the planet.

We will be journeying across the equator and venturing deep into the vibrant green canopy to experience wildlife in a way very few ever get to.

Our walks will take us through dense, ancient woodlands, alongside rushing rivers, and face-to-face with some of the world’s most magnificent creatures.

Encounters in the Wild

The absolute pinnacle of our journey is the rare privilege of tracking mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Guided by expert trackers, we will navigate the rainforest to spend time with these incredible primates.

It is a profoundly humbling and emotional experience to sit quietly in the forest and watch them interact, play, and live—a memory that will stay with you forever.

Immersed in Rainforest Life

Bwindi is about so much more than just the gorillas. It is a living, breathing ecosystem filled with wonder.

Over the week, we will take the time to explore hidden waterfalls, walk the gorgeous River Ivi trail, and take in the spectacular canopy views.

With countless species of birds, vibrant flora, and other primates swinging through the trees, every step on these trails brings a new discovery.

Campfires and Local Culture

A true adventure connects you not just to the land, but to the people who call it home.

During our time here, we will have the honour of visiting the Batwa people to learn about their deep, historical connection to the forest.

As the evenings draw in, we will gather around the campfire under the African sky to share stories, unwind, and reflect on the day’s sights.

Payment and Plan

Please note that a monthly payment plan will be available to help all attend a little easier. The deposit is required so that we can secure the Gorilla Tracking Permits early.

Payments by card may contain a payment fee due to your provider costs. BACS bank transfer payments will be free of costs.

Accommodation

Our base for this adventure is the beautiful Ruhondeza Lodge, nestled peacefully in the Buhoma sector right on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

We will be staying in comfortable, traditional en-suite bandas that offer magnificent views directly across the river and into the dense rainforest canopy.

It is a wonderful, ecologically aware haven to unwind after our treks, where the only sounds you hear at night are the rushing water and the calls of the local wildlife.

Because we are right on the edge of the rainforest, the gorillas have also been known to occasionally pass by the lodges.
