If you ever get a sweet craving on the keto diet then this keto chocolate mousse is a perfect and easy way to satisfy it. And the recipe is so easy to make. A bowl, a whisk and a handful of ingredients.
I don’t personally have too many sweet things in my keto lifestyle as I find the diet naturally restricts the want. But yes, every now and then the sweet desire pops in my head and this is one of the recipes that I use to get all the sweet hit I want.
To get the sweetness in the recipe I replace sugar with Erythritol but of course you can use any keto friendly powdered sweetener that you good about using or as per your diet.
The recipe only calls for 6 ingredients and even one of them is a pinch of salt. You are literally just mixing and whisking a few ingredients in a bowl and it is soon ready to savour.
If you are doing this as a strict keto version then make sure you read the labels on the cocoa powder to make sure there are no sneaky extra carbs or sugars.
This recipe is enough for 2 servings but of course you can amend the figures and make a whole load of them if you want to. It is lovely when refigerated. Or can be eaten straight away if you cannot wait.
As you can see I top my mousse with a walnut but you can use whatever you desire as well. Maybe a strawberry or raspberry.
I find this recipe also make not just a good mousse on its own but also makes for a gorgeous chocolate cake filling.
