Join us on a 7.5 miles Peak District Walk of epic landscapes, views and interesting landmarks. The Roaches and Lud’s Church Circular.

A walk that so much to see and learn about as we wander along wide, rocky ridge tops, through forests and through the fascinating and mythical Lud’s Church.

You will get views all across the Peak District and over Cheshire as we walk. I will be explaining about everything you see and we come across.

History and mythology intertwined with superb landscapes. We will discover:

The uniquely shaped rocky hill called The Hen Cloud
Traverse the delight of the Roaches in 2 directions
Walk through and marvel at the cleft in the rock called Lud’s Church
Learn more mythology as we pass places like Doxey Pool
And so much more

On the day I was so anxious and nervous about meeting everyone but I need not have been everyone was so warm and welcoming which reassured my overthinking brain. The group was a good size and I met some lovely people who like me just like to have a chat but then drift into silence taking in the beauty of the walk. Honestly I’ve never been on a group like this before and already booked on the next walk again. Thankyou for what you do it means a lot to have groups like this especially when you live with a mental illness and find it hard to socialise and meet like minded people without the added pressure.

I have enjoyed a number of hikes with the BaldHiker and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. Each hike has been a great social event and something to look forward to. Paul engages with participants throughout, and I have come away from each hike, not only with a sense of achievement but having made new friends. If you are looking to treat yourself to a day or wellbeing weekend where you put YOU first,  I would definitely recommend the BaldHiker

Paul and Zoe led an exceptional 16 mile hike through some beautiful parts of Leicestershire countryside, lots of information provided on where we were traveling to and from, points of interest and the local area. I had a fantastic day with an amazing group of people from near and far. I will 100% keep an eye for future events

This was my first hike/walk with the BaldHiker group and Paul & Zoe were fantastic guides, knowledgeable about the area we were walking and the route. Lovely group of people which made the day even better, I’m planning my next outing with the group soon!
