When totally melted take off the heat and mix this into the sugar
Fold in the plain flour then whisk in the eggs and the vanilla essence
Place half of the mixture in each tin and place in the oven on 180 Degrees fro about 30-40 minutes until cooked all the way through

To make the chocolate icing- place the cocoa powder, butter and icing sugar into a bowl and whisk together until blended in
Melt the chocolate for the topping in a heat proof bowl over a pan of boiling water and melt until completely running- set this aside to cool a little
Take the two cooled cakes and level them off and cut both in half – sandwich them back together using the chocolate buttercream between each layer then coat the outside of the cake with the remaining chocolate buttercream
