I am often asked where my favourite place of all I have been is. I never like to answer with one as I could name different ones depending on the type of experience. Hard to define isn’t it? But.. how would you like to win a dream first time experience?! … You could be one of eight winners enjoying the first time experience they’ve always dreamed of plus £1,000 to be won every day. Just touch and pay with your Visa contactless card, then visit http://www.visa.co.uk/ to tell Visa what you’d most love to do for the first time.
Thinking about it the world just opens up for you doesn’t it? Feeling you may have done so much but with so much you dream of doing too. I may have travelled around the world and you have seen me doing some amazing things I have been fortunate to do.. but.. I still have many dreams to fulfil. I have gone around in many modes of transport and stayed in some beautiful buildings but one thing I have not done and dream of doing is travel for weeks, just us and the hounds, throughout Scandinavia, in a little campervan…
I have only ever dabbled in Scandinavia. A trip to Norway a couple of winters ago and Denmark more recently gave me experiences I would never find anywhere else on the planet. In my heart I want to see much more and all if I could. First there are the places, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, yes they are just some of the big places but with the world ahead with your wheels beneath you and the mood within, you can be in some of what in my opinion are the best wild landscapes in the world.
Travelling via fishing villages, along arctic coastlines, through the breathtaking fjords, calling by medieval towns and through old architecture that has stood the test of time with all its charm. Viking history, wildlife in abundance both in the air and across the land, beautiful large waterfalls, forests, ice covered glacial plateaus and of course there are mountains upon striking mountains. I really could go on and on.
The variety of food is an experience to take in, the culture, the very friendly people of this part of the world and the history to learn. Ancient traditions, local customs and hidden treasures that are miles away from the hustle and bustle of this busy life.
Yes! That would be my dream first time experience – to take off in a campervan and get lost discovering Scandinavia from East to West and North to South.
It doesn’t take much to enter… and you could win your dreams
