As the weather warms, nature has a way of coming to life. New beginnings appear everywhere. It is amazing what you can find if you slow down and explore.
This adventure happened in the middle of my hometown on the grounds of a local business. As I drove by heading to the local coffee shop, the sea of pink flowers caught my eye. I decided that my coffee could wait, this tree needed to be explored! A 20 minute stop gave me so many wonderful photographic treasures. A few of which I want to share.
I first walked by an evergreen tree as something caught my eye… I have never taken the time to notice these lovely little treasures. It is the beginning of a cone.
Then, I had to walk passed a Purple Sand Cherry in bloom. The burgundy bark contrasting with the stark white flowers is a visual treat for all eyes that take the time to admire.
Then, I moved on to the lovely tree that caught my eye, an Ornamental Japanese Cherry tree. Its bright pink blossoms beckon everyone’s attention. The branches were weighed down with blossoms and each photo seemed to be more magical than the one before.
I was pleased to see that I was not the only admirer that day.
When I finally got to the coffee shop, my long craved coffee, paled into comparison to my 20 minute diversion along the way!
