It’s probably no surprise for anyone… but I love coffee and I love ice cream. Just around the corner for me, in the beautiful Eden Valley you will find Appleby-in-Westmorland. A lovely little historic market town. Overlooked by Appleby Castle, a 12th-century castle, which was the home of Lady Anne Clifford. On the banks of the river Eden, which runs through town, you can find a little treasure: Rosie’s Ice Cream Parlor. It’s a place I visit quite often and you will see why after seeing all the photos below.
Coffee in all flavours, luxury ice creams sundaes, delicious waffles and more…. so much more to satisfy the taste buds What better way to treat yourself after a lovely hike between the mountains of the Lake District and the peaks of the Northern Pennines or maybe a little bit of shopping or a stroll on the quaint market?
All the ice creams are prepared with English Lakes Ice Cream and fresh fruits. English Lakes Ice Cream is a traditional ice cream full of the finest ingredients. It’s a feast a delicious feast… Not just for your eyes….
There’s something to please everyone. Parents can shop upstairs in the lovely boutique. Or enjoy a drink on the balcony overlooking the river Eden while the children have a great time painting ceramics.
So whenever you’re near by, stop by at Rosie’s ice cream parlor. It is just of the A66 and within walking distance of Appleby Station on Englands most scenic railway, The Settle to Carlisle Line. I promise, you won’t regret it and maybe we’ll run into each other
