Norway, Your Way day 3 – Norefjell, Skiing and Cosyness
First thing today we took the bus out of Oslo and headed to Norefjell, one of Norway’s premier skiing resorts. Another action packed day ahead.
So far on this trip I have found that road journeys have not involved getting some rest, impossible with the winter wonderland views around every corner, The sun shining down on the deep snow and pine trees and frozen snow covered lakes just keeps you in awe.
As we neared our destination we wound round and round up the mountain and suddenly into view came the ski resort of Norefjell. Hotel spa and as much skiing as you wish for. All with wonderful views.
So, my first venture into cross country skiing! Glide they said, mmm, I made a few connections with the ground with every part of my body, my ribs took a battering on a downhill slope but it was fantastic fun! We all had such a great time. As the day grew on I managed to stay on my feet and had a ‘sort of’ rythm.
Tonight we are staying in a nearby gorgeous cabin at Recover Norefjell, beautiful quaint wooden lodges, excellent friendly staff and just look at this view I have on the balcony as I write this
If you would like more on the spot pics and details of our trip here from all of us then why not go to “Norway Your Way” FB page? Travelling here with a rep from Germany, Spain, Holland and Poland and will introduce each one over the coming days too.

I always wanted to visit Norway, and these posts make me even want to visit the country more! (Going to visit, this summer, hopefully)
I tried cross country skiing for the first time last year. My knee tendons did not appreciate the experience. It's a really extreme sport! Returned to my snowboard the next day and have no intentions of strapping on skis ever again.
Beautiful Norway ! Lots of Fun for You and Your friends ! ((:- !!
Wow, I'm really starting to get a feeling for the country—one I have NEVER had interest in visiting—but you make it look and sound inviting! Can't wait to hear of further adventures, Paul!
